Stockholm Trio Postdoc Symposium connects research, careers, and public engagement

On October 12, 2026, the Stockholm Trio Postdoc Symposium brought together researchers from Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University at Biomedicum. Under the theme “From Discovery to Impact: Navigating Modern Life Science Careers,” the event combined scientific exchange with discussions about translating research into societal impact and navigating careers within and beyond academia.

The symposium attracted more than 170 registrations. Speakers explored translational medicine, innovation, entrepreneurship, science policy, and professional identity, while six lightning talks and more than 20 posters showcased research across the Stockholm Trio.

As part of Nobel Calling Stockholm, “Meet the Scientists” opened the afternoon to the public, attracting more than 70 public registrations. Visitors met researchers and explored their work through accessible poster presentations and informal conversations.
